THE PICANTE FAMILY WILL MAKE OUR HOME, YOUR HOME SOON

Once we are through this pandeimic, our festive and bountiful space will again be the perfect get-together place for your friends & family, work buddies or sports teams. Currently we have limited seating on our side patio, so you may park and walk up to order on site, or order ahead and take your food to the patio. We like to think of Picante as a zocalo, or plaza, where people gather. It's a place where you might run into old friends or meet new ones. Picante is a gathering place where everyone is welcome—even your pooch.

Jim Maser, a Berkeley native, opened Picante in 1994 and continues to travel to Mexico's seven regions exploring its cuisine. Many employees have been with us since the beginning, giving the Picante family a sense of tradition and purpose. Heartfelt joy is sparked when guests who grew up eating here, bring the next generation through our doors.
